If you live anywhere in the Chicago area - from Chicago's lakefront to the Fox River Valley - and you''re ready to embark on an exciting adventure into the two-wheeled world, look no further. Windy City H-D's Rider's Edge® Learn to Ride Class is Harley-Davidson's Academy of Motorcycling.

Combining the proven curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® and the excitement and passion of Harley-Davidson®, the Rider's Edge® New Rider Course offers unrivaled hands on instruction that will bring your motorcycling dreams to life and give you the skills and confidence you need to get the most out of riding.

The Rider's Edge® New Rider Course is a mixture of classroom time and actual riding that delivers the basics of motorcycle operation in Harley-Davidson® style. It's taught by experts certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and Harley-Davidson® to provide topnotch instruction in a relaxed, fun environment. After passing a written test and a riding skills evaluation, you'll receive a MSF RiderCourse® Completion Card that may qualify you for discounts on motorcycle insurance, depending on the provider. More than that, you'll start a journey that will last a lifetime.

REQUIREMENTS:

*Must be 18 Years of age or older
*To know how to ride a bicycle
* A motorcycle learners permit from the DMV
* Jeans or riding pants must be worn
* Over-the-ankle boots or shoes
* Full-finger Motorcycle Gloves
* Heavy long-sleeved shirt or jacket.
* A helmet that meets DOT specifications.

CLASS SCHEDULING:
Classes are conducted over 4 or 5 days and all classes are mandatory for graduation. Be sure the class you select works with your schedule.

Weekday Classes are Held
Tuesday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm

MOTORCYCLE:
You will be riding a 492 cc Buell® Blast® a responsive, mid-weight streetbike that's easy to handle and rider-friendly. But make no mistake, the Blast is a real-world bike that can take you as far as you want to go.

COST:
The Rider's Edge® New Rider Course costs $350 per person.

I took the class as a refresher to riding since I hadn't been on a bike for a while and found the entire experience was "TRULY GREAT". I am not a current Harley Owner but definitely plan on being one in the very near future. I am a business owner and know the value of Customer Service. It will Make you or Break you. But from any perspective, your dealership is one that I found to be very professional yet still had the personal touch clients are looking for. "Mike" & "Collen" were by far some of the best educator's I have had the experience to learn from. They alone were one of your best asset's. The entire staff from the class coordinator "James" to "Allan" in rental"s and the entire parts and sales staff I met during the showroom tour were just terrific. I have been to a couple of other Harley dealers and although I didn't have a Bad Experience it was no where near the Good Time I had at "Wild Fire". You have the competition beat hands down. I would go out of my way and travel to your dealership for my Harley needs just because you guy's are so great.
